Easiest Apple Sauce

Seriously, it's the easiest recipe you'll find! Simply put a whole lotta apples in your biggest stock pot, just as they are (no peeling, cutting, coring!)

add 1/4C sugar and a few shakes of cinnamon and nutmeg...

  • Add an inch of water to your pot, cover, and boil.
  • Once steamin' good, turn down to simmer until the skins on your apples are cracking open and the white flesh from your apples is mushy.
  • With a potato masher or just a large wooden spoon and the courage of your convictions, mush up the apples (it'll actually be so easy as the apples are super soft already)
  • Push the apple mush through a sieve (I got mine at Dollarama) and refrigerate
Good for...
  • substituting in for butter when baking muffins or cakes
  • a refreshing side to your roast pork
  • OR on it's splendid own.

  2. Found you via Jill. I agree. Why in the world have I dedicated hours of my life to peeling, coring, and dicing?! Awesome!
